About The Scholarship
The AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware First State Scholarship was established to assist four undergraduate students pursuing Nursing or Allied Health degrees. Scholarships will be distributed for the upcoming 2024-2024 academic year. Each recipient will be awarded $5,000 to support their education for items such as tuition, fees, books, and other course-related expenses.
It is important to note that simply being qualified and submitting an application does not guarantee an award. These scholarships are competitive, and applications will be evaluated based on their merit.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware First State Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a U.S. citizen and a resident of the State of Delaware.
- Be a high school senior graduating in the 2023-24 academic year OR a student in the first or second year of a Nursing or Allied Health program.
- Be planning to attend (or accepted at) an accredited four-year college/university in the Fall 2024 semester
- Demonstrate financial need.
Application Process
An impartial selection committee will examine the completed applications and choose recipients based on academic achievements, community participation, volunteerism, financial necessity, and essay content.
All required supporting documents must be uploaded to your online application by the application deadline. If you do not follow the upload instructions exactly, your application may remain incomplete. Documents that meet the criteria required for this application that are uploaded by the deadline will be processed and considered on time.
